There is this statue at Victoria Park just across the street from my school. It was the Winged figure atop this structure that sparked my interest in all the statues in Manchester. So today inspired by Mellie's and Sammie's photo blogs, i was determined to find as many as i can.
The Winged Man (i think) which i adore very much, can not be captured well with my stinky camera. Ive even tried to take the picture on the top of the Parking Garage but my Zoom sadly doesn't work on my camera. It is a better level than the ground level. One of these days i plan on getting a ladder so i can take a close up of this statue. or at least a Camera that works. So until then i'll take pictures of the other awesome statues at my level.
On the other side of The Winged Man and his 'Guards', is that hooded figure. The sun was on that side so this is why the figure is so dark. but i suppose it makes it look much more creepy this way.
A few blocks further down the road is another park much bigger than Victoria Park but i don't recall it's name, is another statue. Cuba is a statue for Spanish war veterans I like this one, to. Well i guess i like them all.
On my walk i stumbled across two men hanging outsite. One of them, Marty, asked what i was taking pictures of. I told them about my interest in the statues about Manchester and him and his friend told me about a park right out side the Manchester supreme court. Of course, me being a hermit, I didn't know where in the world the supreme court was so he offered to show me where it was.
